Boatsmith, Inc. Chooses Colligo Synthetic Systems Rigging Hardware

1 August 2008

Boatsmith, Inc. of Jupiter, Florida, has chosen to install Colligo Marine’s unique Colligo Synthetic Systems (CSS) standing rigging hardware on Abaco, their newly-constructed Wharram Tiki 30 Catamaran. The wood-epoxy composite catamaran will make its debut at the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic, Connecticut on June 27.

Headed by master carpenter David Halladay, Boatsmith, Inc. has specialized in wood-epoxy boat construction and marine carpentry since 1990. For more information, visit www.boatsmithFL.com or call 1+561.744.0855.

CSS is an easy-to-install, light weight system that makes it practical to use synthetic line in place of stainless wire for standing rigging on sailboats. The system components - Line Terminator™ end fittings, Chainplate Distributors and Titanium Brackets - are 1/4 the weight of stainless, corrosion-resistant and easy-to-splice with 12 strand line. No turnbuckles are needed.

Colligo Synthetic Systems standing rigging hardware is also simple to use and maintain, with no more swages or compression fittings. Sidestay, shrouds and backstay systems are available.

For more information about Colligo Synthetic SystemsTM standing rigging hardware, visit www.colligomarine.com or call 1+480.703.3675.
