Sea and Shore holidays…

27 June 2006

Horizon Yacht Charters (Antigua) has introduced a new 'sea and shore' vacation package aimed at creating the perfect combination to suit both sailors and non-sailors alike.

People looking for a Caribbean getaway that offers something for everyone can now book a single package that combines a two-bedroom waterfront villa in Jolly Harbour, Antigua with a brand new, three cabin Bavaria 42 at the end of the villa's private dock.

According to the firm, guests have a daily choice of whether to set sail aboard the yacht for a day or two of cruising, enjoy a round of golf on an 18-hole, Karl Litten designed, on-site course, select from a range of other shore side activities, explore historic Antigua or simply relax and recharge on an idyllic beach.

Qualified sailors can take the helm themselves or an instructional skipper can be arranged to captain the yacht to any one of the 365 bays and anchorages that surround Antigua.

‘This is a great solution for families or groups of friends who would like to go on vacation together but who enjoy different elements of a Caribbean destination,’ says Alastair Ashford, owner operator of Horizon Yacht Charters (Antigua). ‘Everyone does what they prefer most but still get together at the end of the day to sip a cocktail or two and regale each other with tales of their adventure.’
