Dunagoil Bay - the approach

1.   The Isle of Bute lies in Scotland's Firth of Clyde, tucked into the spectacular sea lochs of southern Argyll. 15 miles long by approximately 4 miles wide Bute is less than two hours from the city of Glasgow. If you are starting from Largs - or in fact any of the marinas or ports on the Mainland, then you will be thinking about Bute.

Dunagoil Bay - the approach

Dunagoil Bay is to the south of Bute. round the corner from Kilchatten Bay it is not really suitable as an anchorage when there is any kind of west in the wind. But on our visit the wind was from the south-east. Ideal conditions.

Difficult to see on the approach, care needs to be taken when approaching the beach.
