2. After having taken the decision to cross the Irish Sea, the auto-helm was set and someone was tasked to keep watch. That was me. The two gents in the photo then proceeded to put the world to right.
The previous photo was taken at about 9am. This was taken at sunset (or just before). We are motoring along the Scottish shoreline, and the divisions and different points of view are now clear!
The sunset was spectacular, providing a calming end (or so we thought) to a long passage.
It was probably about this time that we realised that after 14 hours of motoring, even with the reserve, things might be a bit tight so far as diesel was concerned...
